Our Story
Justin and Holli Trisler met working together as entertainment cast members at Walt Disney World in 2014. As friends of Ariel and Prince Eric in the Voyage of the Little Mermaid show, their story began as nothing short of a fairy tale. Married in 2015, they continued to work for Disney all over the world in Orlando, Paris, and Hong Kong.
Their journey with Disney came to an abrupt halt in March 2020 when the covid pandemic hit. Like thousands of other cast members, Holli and Justin found themselves furloughed and then laid off. After several months of hoping and waiting to be recalled, their need to be creative caused them to stumble into a new skill they never even dreamed they would have: woodworking.
What started as helping their parents redecorate some rooms turned into building their own home decor and storage items. After posting the creations online, friends kept asking if they could buy some for themselves. The Trislers, surprised, obliged, and several orders later, Trisler Trove - a name given in homage to the mermaid that brought them together - was born.
Over the coming months, Holli & Justin slowly expanded their shop, came up with more designs, watched a lot of youtube videos, and were blown away with support from their local and online community, particularly the Ear for Each Other Facebook Page, created to support laid off cast members.
In fall 2021, the Trislers were blessed with receiving contracts to work at Hong Kong Disneyland, and Trisler Trove had to close up shop. During their time away, Holli and Justin weren’t sure if the Trove would ever reopen— but they continued to get requests and messages even while they were away, and it was clear the Trove needed to make a comeback.
In February 2024, after returning from Hong Kong, Holli and Justin decided it was time to reopen the Trove— but this time with experience under their belts, and with the help of Justin’s dad, Monte— a long time carpenter and handyman. Together, they bring you the new and improved Trisler Trove.
